Obituary

Don “Donnie” Alderman, 69, of Titusville passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2024.

Don was born to Morgan and Margaret Alderman on December 31, 1954. The great-grandchild to E.O. Morgan who was once known as the “Cattle King of the South” during the 1800’s. Don had an avid love for all things outdoors but his heart was deeply rooted in the St. John’s River where he and his 8 siblings grew up. Fishing for big bass along the riverbanks and climbing in a tree to harvest a mature whitetail deer was Don’s biggest passion in life. He spent his working years doing a variety of different jobs, which consisted of hauling seafood from the Port of Miami to the New York City fish market. When his truck driving days were over, he worked at the Kennedy Space Center for Propellants North until he officially retired in 2008.

Don is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Alice, his two son’s Eric Hodges (Kelly) & Kyle Alderman (Nicole), his beloved grandchildren Brianna, Jayde, Jaxson, Cameron and Cataleya, as well as his great granddaughter, Avery. He is also survived by his brother Guy Alderman and sisters Maxine Phillips, Sharon Leary and Sue Jacobs well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Morgan and Margaret, his siblings Morgan “Buddy” Alderman, Kay Gainer, Ed Alderman and Paul Alderman.

Don’s family will be celebrating his life privately at a later date.
